The Irish South Road Federation was formed in 1968
There are 27 clubs with 1000 members in 2000 the radius of the fed stretches from Wicklow in the south to Monaghan in the north,but the majority of members are in Dublin.
The federation owns three trailors each holding 5000 birds the average birds per race is 7000 there is no sprint,middle.long distance racing as such but we have land and channel racing,inland racing starts from 70miles at New Ross to 200miles at Barleycove.Then we have channel racing from penzance in cornwall(England)and France.
